First entered Dirtworks 100 in 2008. started to cramp up before 28klm water stop pushed on in pain made the cutoff time at the bridge ( road the bridge first try) then halfway up the hill to the last water stop (78klm) had to pull out the saftey bikes had allready left.
Entered again in 2009. only to go thru the front window of a BMW of all cars ($4,ooo damage to BMW lots off soft tisue damage to me ) While out on a training ride 2 weeks before the race. not enough time to recover, mate thinks I am jinxed.
Awaba State Forest update for 14 Jul
Rode there today for the first time ( on the blue loop )there is a few small patches of water around,mostly OK & tacky-be careful of Clay,roots & logs as very slippery. A big thankyou to the trail builders

One Down Three Two Go! Dargle Farm?
Rode the first rocky trail at awaba sat really enjoy it. I was wondering where Dargle Farm, lower Portland is ? and what sort of track is it likely to be?

Sunday am. Can only be described as PERFECT!!
I had a ball today, rode some trails I had not tried before. The work the Trail Faires have done on what I think is BJ's is awesome. Thanks guys.

HMBA receives funding for toilets at Awaba.
Yesterday HMBA received confirmation from the Dept of Spor and Rec that we would be receiving a grant for toilets at Awaba.
This is great news for the club and will contribute to a much needed amenity at the Awaba trails.
The club had resolved to go ahead with the toilets at the last committee meetings, so the grant will allow funds that had been allocated to the project to be diverted to the new expanded carpark, new shuttle turnaround and ultimately the next phase of trail design and construction.
Awaba State Forest update for 02 Jul
track was perfect today, was a little bit dry and loose but a good sprinkle of rain half way through the day made the soil nice and moist.
only had one issue with the track right after Scorpion gap on the DH track, had a big slide, but that was more of a speed issue.
overall 9/10

Good as you'd expect, Bailey's is still wet, but if you wait for that to dry out you won't ride till summer
