Glenrock is fine now, you can't expect it to be any better, a few puddles is normal after this much rain.

Do you have more information?

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 11 Jun

Jus saw this posted elsewhere from a glenrock local.

"Had a look (but didn't ride it) this morning. The ground is still very soft and there was a fair bit of standing water. It's windy but also very cold so it may take a little longer than normal to dry out. No way would I ride it today but it might be ok Sunday."

Hi All

I went exploring yesterday, first time riding in this area. I rode from Brunkerville on the management trail connecting to Sugarloaf Range Road and descended down to the freeway and wakefield. I rode pretty much out and back. Trail was in good condition, all being rutted from rain but still firm.

Latest installment of trail mapping.

This time it is the trails running from the ridge along Eleebana.

Brown is management trail, orangey and blue stuff is nominally walking and cycling trail (in most cases everything that's in orange is what I reckon would be a waste of time riding but YMMV)

Generally I just ride the fire trail that runs through the middle and continues into Tingara Heights but I decoded to explore what else is around.

Looking at doing some exploring in the norther Sydney district. i know the GNW (great north walk) well in the Lane Cove park till you get to thornleigh but its unknown territory for me after that. Just wanted to know if it's worth riding up to berowra or further north or is it just mostly hike a bike?? Also is there any good riding to be had on the way to the basin area of Kuringai Chase NP.

Capital punishment for the bikes. How to fix mud induced mechanicals

After the epic ride in canberra over the weekend, thought today would be a great day to go for a quick spin as the sun was beaming. However as i was running over my bike everything was wrong with it!! Stiff cranks, hardly anything left on brake pads, stiff headset, stiff shifters. thats the stuff i notice straight away without riding the poor thing.

So a few questions;
Does stiff cranks mean i need a new BB
Does stiff shifters mean i have to replace the housing and cabling
And are there any other things i need to look over after long rides in muddy conditions?
