Amber/Some Issues

Mostly Green but giving it amber because there are still a few puddles and greasy spots.

Also there is a big tree down at the beginning of Kennys, poking out right where Reload ends. See pic. I removed the 2 smaller branches but main trunk is certainly a hazard. You can ride around it but may injure yourself if riding in the dark.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 10 Jul

Amber/Some Issues

Since the 10mm of rain, Grock has got a little worse.

Marginal Amber , main issues are shaft, bit of mud on hang ten etc. I missed Kennys and the paddock, and also left the dipper and twisties alone - 95% is dry and riding well - all places with orange clay are generally cut up and muddy

Green Point - node and land use status...?

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Went out to Green Point last weekend for the first time and found it was a lot of fun. However had no idea where I was going most of the time and wasn't able to find a decent map of the trails before or after.

Having had a look thru the older forums, there has been some discussion previously about checking with council about using Green Point. Was that ever done as I can't see any updates since that discussion? From what I can tell, Lake Macquarie City Council would appear to encourage its use for cycling but there is nothing specific I could find about use by mountain bikers.

Jesmond Park/John Hunter Hospital Hill update for 05 Jul

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Status:
Green/Open

Road out there this morning, all tracks are open and dried out nicely.

Trail fairies have been at work on the Cambridge drive loop/Fairyland and removed the tree that was at head height which is pretty much the last post-storm obstacle. Note that the drilling rigs are still chopping up fire-trails in damp spots as they move around the area. Otherwise good to go.

Still red - was quite a bit more muddy this morning than I was expecting given a few days - but shaft was wet, the greasy climb out of the shit works is not a whole lot of fun, hang ten, dipper, Kennys etc all a bit ordninary.

But that before we got 50 MM of RAIN AGAIN!!!

Please don't ride this weekend, the mud is from all the people riding over the last week, it should have been dry. Try your wet wether options, ie anywhere without the traffic of Grock, and the clay
