Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 03 Jun

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Rode the trails today, for the most part it is drying well and packed down smooth. We will need to work on drainage before the next big rain event as the packing of the trail has created cupping and channels, but for the most part its smooth to ride.

Deluge - Drying really well, few soft bits. Needs some help on the drainage.
Grass Tree - Generally OK, few sections up high holding water.
Fernleigh Management Trail - Some real boggy bits.
Easy Way Out - Fine
Double Barrel - Fine
Twisties - Gets very wet toward the bottom. Give it a miss for now.
Six Shooter - Fine
Seismick - Possibly the best its been for a while with all the loose gravel pushed to the side.
Pump Action - Wet and Boggy in parts.
Re Load - Few wet Sections, generally OK.
Kenny's - Drying well but a few wet patches. Worst being Baileys Bog.
High Roller - Fine
Suess Land - Few wet patches across the top but drying.
It Happens - Fine
BJ's - Little Damp at the bottom otherwise OK.
Snakes and Ladder - Fine
Hang Ten - Fine
Yeulahbah Trail - Wet in the Usual Spots.

I didn't ride shaft. I imagine it would be much of the same, wet in places but drying.

If the weather stays like this, I give it 24 hours till the bulk of the single trail wet spots dry. Some of the Management Trail sections may take a lot longer to dry out.

All up, its not to bad to ride. Needs some work on the drainage when we get more water on in.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 29 May

Amber/Some Issues

Went for an evening lap on Thursday night, still definately Amber, lots of puddles and slop around. Friday's rain won't help one bit. Port to Port organisers better organise a tow truck in Bailey's paddock. They may lose some riders in that mud...

GNW from Charlestown to Fernleigh is a clay and mud mess.
