Hi all,

So I have this stripped down Giant Trance 2 (29") frame that I'm considering just selling and buying a whole kit from scratch. I know I should probably pop this into the classified section - but I wanted an idea of what to charge before I listed it there...

I bought the bike brand new 6 months ago for $2K and stripped all the stock parts off for XTR. But now I've built a second bike - which will be my daily commuter to Perth city (work) and back and have put my XTR on that bike.

After a weekend of riding I have a badly burnt head in the shape of the helmet vents . My Q is what do you use for a bit of protection from the sun ....oh & I've tried sunscreen but it ends up in my eyes.. Sad

my wife is ridding to work on my old 26 inch trek and would like some road orientated tyres that we can run tubeless any ideas

At the moment theres a cross mark on the rear and an ignitor on the front something even with less tread than the cross mark would be the go

Thanks

Building a new set of wheels, and I need to double check spoke lengths...

Using DT hubs, so the DT calc comes in handy.

Advice on 3x9 to 1x9 conversion

Need some advice on a budget 3x9 to 1x9 conversion.
Due to a new frame (warranty replacement) on my old bike, my old BB and Deore 9sp crank triple won’t fit.
Rather than buy a new 9sp triple crank, I want to convert it to a 1x9 with a 30t ring, using the existing 9sp Shimano XT rear mech and cassette.
Therefore I need to buy:

  • New 104 BCD crank that is capable of running a single 30t 10sp chainring
  • 30t 10sp narrow wide chainring

Clicking noise from Mavic SLR 29 rear wheel

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi, just had the rear hub replaced and an annoying clicking noise has started on the rear wheel. It sounds like cross spokes grinding, yet the spokes don't make contact on the cross. Has anyone encountered anything like this with Mavic SLRs? Thanks
