Hiya,

I have a 6 years old Specialized Carve Pro, which I took into me local bike shop (the same bike shop I purchased it from) to report a crack in the Frame Chain Stay. The bike was assessed by Specialized and I have been informed that my warranty claim has been rejected.

Awesome Warranty Service - BOA laces

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

The BOA laces on my 2012 specialized mtb shoes were suffering from mud and a general poor cleaning regime. This meant that the laces were not holding ie. ratchet slippage.

So I got on the BOA website and placed an order for a replacement set, which was FREE including postage from the US to lil ol Perth as they warrant their product 100% for the life of the product to which their BOA laces are integrated.

Specialized Sworks Epic World Cup

Well after a long wait, my new bike has arrived, and all I can say is the wait was worth it !

Check out some of the pics of my new 2014 Specialized Sworks Epic World Cup !

I can't wait to get this baby dirty over the Christmas break. Keep a look out, and you may see me riding past !

Thanks to Peter and the amazing team at Cyclery Northside and Specialized for getting the bike setup for me.

Now that I have the best marathon bike around there are no excuses for next years Absa Cape Epic - just need to sort out the engine now !

Roval Carbon 29er Rim

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

So was just prepping my 2011 S-works for the Pemberton race tomorrow and noticed a buckle in the front wheel, on closer inspection found a large crease in the rim, right inline with a spoke! the spoke appears to be pulling through the rim slightly. So she is pretty farked I'm thinking.

What to do?? I don't have a spare 29er rim. Can I just run a 26inch rim? thoughts? anyone have a spare lying around?

Also do you think there would be any sort of warranty or crash replacement through Specialized? at least a cheaper deal "I was just rind along when...."
