*Whisperer actually has allegiance to SUAR, but as with DirtWorks none of his regular gang would partake. Strange coincidence... he placed 28 in category then too!

Dirtworks 2007 Results

50K'ers - Dirtworks 2007

Following a fantastic weekend in St Albans and surrounds it's time to check the scores on the doors. Not that most of us were competitive, we were just out to have fun. A couple of folk forgot that though and posted a bloody good time - hats off guys!

The weekend seemed to go down very well going by discussing in Dirtworks Post-mortem (any comments in there please). Hopefully there's not too much lasting pain, if any at all.

Looking forward to the coming trips over next couple of months and more of the same [ erm... ish ;) ].

So here they are: Dirtworks Classic 2007 results for NoBMoBers:

Another Challenge?

If reading the stuff about last weekend has whet your appitite for events, here's a couple coming up:

Sunday 25 June: CareFlight Woodford to Glenbrook Classic. OK, OK - so you might balk at paying $48 to ride down public firetrail but this is, after all, a fund raising event for Careflight. Having witnessed someone airlifted off the Terrey Hills trail I have to agree it's a worthy cause.

11/12 November: VAUDE Highland Fling. Another 100(or 50)km of fun, go on - you know you want to!

Dirtworks 2006 Results

Dirtworks Profile

Well, the results are in, and it's a mixed bag. For my part, I'm not complaining too much. The general concensus was that despite having only 2 big climbs this year, it was overall a tougher course than last and I still came in half an hour earlier.

Leigh tops the table for the full course, despite being notified at the last minute he was in and doing no training!

Anyhow, congrats to all that took part! :)

2006 Polaris Challenge

We're back and pleased to say Team NoBMoB placed second in mixed vets and 48/211 overall - there was 130km of riding over two days and a lot of up and downs, the weather was dusty and dry and temperatures hit 35 degrees on the second day, but it was a remarkable event - thanks to Wild Horizons, the town of Delegate and last but not least to Liz for her rapid revolutions...

Read more in our Polaris Challenge 2006 report.

Official Results will be posted at Wild Horizons Challenge Results over the next couple of days.

Update - our ride report has been posted on the Wild Horizons website - listed on their '06 Results and Reports page!
