So who's up for 100+ km of dirt?

I've always wanted to do this classic ride in both directions (much harder going up!), and in the light of the Convict 100 in May (formerly Dirtworks) this gives me all the more reason to do such a long ride. Obviously not for the faint hearted, but any of those brave enough to join me, be my guest.

Here's how it'll go:
Leave Glenbrook 7:45, riding down to causeway, on dirt road to The Oaks and along the Oaks Firetrail. Long grind!
Hopefully reach Woodford by 9:45 & refill water
Down Murphy's Firetrail to Bedford creek (Downhill for once!)

Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.

In prepration for Dirtwirks it is time to do a longer ride. I'm thinking 60 - 70ks depending on how everything goes.

Plan is simple, Go up devines hill, continue along GNR past Claire's bridge until it is time to head back. Go back same way but down Shepherds gully and race back the 8ks of road to the ferry.

This is a training ride so It'll be minimal stops and reasonably decent pace. Heaps of water and food is required. Sometimes there is water to refill at the buddist retreat but I'm not sure one count on it.

Andersons & The Oaks - DW Training Ride 6th April

I would like to do Andersons & The Oaks as a training ride for the dirtworks so a medium to quick pace and minimal stops would be the order of the day I can only do this and will definitely (rain or shine) do it on the 6th of April.

As I haven't done this ride before it would be great to have a guide so if anyone is interested in showing me/us the way that would be great A reasonably early start 7.00am or or a bit earlier is always my preferred option.
