Mount York
Meeting Point:

Mt York Road, in Mount Victoria. You could probably park anywhere along here, and there's a decent sized area (with camping I believe) at the end of this road. That said, the junction with Berghoffer Drive/Lockyers seems the most sensible suggestion.

Well guys, it is time to saddle up and head out on a nice cruisy ride at altitude, Andrei has suggested that his Corsair and my Evo need a hitout, i'm sure you guys bikes do too!!
So the plan is to do Lockyers out and back, then if time permits, we go down Cox's and back up Lawsons long alley, during this time we shall stop and partake in sessioning of harder stuff, and the obligatory photos etc...So lets do it brothers, and sisiters!!, and it is bmorcers only!!!!
Lets meet in the car park at the top of berghoffers and have a cracker!!!!

Rescheduled after the %%$^%#$ weather reports advised about the winds scheduled, and the tracks are probably covered with fallen trees.

The pace will be "brisk social" - This will mean a couple of stops will happen at the creeks and the helipad, though besides that I want us to be able to move along at a fairly rapid pace, so it'd be preferable to ride with people with a higher degree of fitness.

With the crap weather forecast through into the weekend, I'm going to take my normal commute route that I haven't done for awhile and turn it into an out-and-back loop to Sydney Olympic Park. Total distance will be 55 km or so,plus wharever the Olympic 4X circuit is, conditions permitting (so fit your fat tyres!).

Apart from some stints on Warringah Road, Babbage/Boundary and the very short Victoria Road section, this is on roads with manageable traffic or suburban streets, and forms my midweek commute when working at SOP.

This is an MTB training ride designed to get the legs spinning after a week out of action with rain. I plan to cover around 40K at an average pace of 20+ Km/h, so reasonable pace. Unfortunately all will be on roads or cycle paths in and surrounding Sydney Olympic Park, but it sure beats a spin class if the weather breaks.

Please do not park in this car park.

Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB notice board here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up the hill). Park up nose to curb or as directed.

After being off the bike a while it is time to try and get some fitness back. Three maybe four laps at a moderate pace. Haven't ridden Ourimbah for ages so looking forward to it.

To be reschedule it to a later date since people didn't seem to be able to make it this Saturday

Interesting loop encompassing a mix of interesting tracks, exciting descents and not so exciting, but fitness building ascents. Technical parts, senic parts, cruisy parts, exhilrating parts, over a range of fire trail, etc.

Just hope the weather behaves. The track drains extremely well, but after trashing my bike in the rain a couple of months ago, I want to take every precaution necessary to avoid spending another $400, and will cancel if it's wet/raining.
