First time out
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Bloodwood Road, Fiddletown heads up to the National Park. There's a sharp right bend by Marramarra Ridge Trail, with Coba Point Fire Trail shortly after (the proceeding sharp left). There's parking by either trail which are less than 1km apart, but the area by Coba Point Fire Trail is the go.
Have never ridden this location before so will be at a very social pace just to check it out, probably look at doing around 20 - 25 kms. If no response I will not be there.
Awaba XC laps
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Just up Jenkins Road from corner with Mount Faulk Road. See for details.
Okay, as discussed previously, I have not been to Awaba before and am very keen to have a trundle around the XC trail. Who's keen?
I have posted the ride for Australia day, as my other upcoming weekends are already full.
I plan on doing 3 or 4 laps, depending on daytime temps. These forests can get pretty hot (probaby noone needs any reminders of Ourimbah for the 12 hour). There is also the possibility of setting up a BBQ and downing a beer afterwards, if you were also keen for that.
Sat morning at menai..
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
Late notice but will be riding .. normal starting point around 7am.. Paul, Craig and myselff.
Ourimbah XC Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
I will be heading up to Ourminbah for a couple of laps tomorrow morning.
If you feel like a ride come up.
Afternoon ride terrey hills

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
I intend on stopping at the Dam on the way home. My intention is to do 2 laps before last light so no lights will be required. This isn't a training ride and we can stop and play on sections if anyone wants to

I've been doing too much road riding recently (which isn't saying much) so need to get the XC skills working.
Aiming to put in 3 or 4 training XC laps for training and fun, then potter off to explorer, perhaps up towards the tower and over the hill as I hear there are some trails over there. Then back down the DH track to the car and a beer. Ideally would like to be doing +50km.
If this sounds good to you (and why wouldn't it) bring lots of supplies and water, I don't think there are any taps there.
GNR - The Fun Stuff
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.
I haven't been to GNR for, like, forever!
Time to get back there and do the fun stuff: Up Devines Hill, over to Clare's Bridge (further if people are game) and back, down Shepherds Gully and trundle round to the start.
Ourimbah.. 3 or 4 laps

Thinking of doing 3 or 4 laps, ( last time I was good for about 50min laps ). I figure that the pace will be inversely proportional to the number of Friday afternoon carbo loading beers..
leaving about 630 from Cromer, room in the truck for a couple more.
Cascades!
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Acron Oval Carpark, plenty of parking there and close to the start

A Proper HTFU Training Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Glenbrook station carpark.
My semi regular Saturday morning training Ride - Oaks up plus detour and then back down.
This is a long and steady training ride it is not a smash fest but definately a hard ride it is non stop and not a social outing.
Starting at Glenbrook at 5.30am sharp I head up the Oaks then from Woodford I head further up the mountain for some sweet single track riding and then back to Woodford and down the Oaks. Its a good 4 and a bit hours in the saddle without a break if you cant ride for that amount of time without a stop then this ride is not for you.
McPhail's and Meryla Pass
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Kangaroo Valley
As per the ride posted by Herzog on 29.11.09 but probably doing Meryla Pass first to get the climbing out of the way and then the wonderful McPhail's downhill run. We have 3 riders (average age 40 plus !!) confirmed to leave Middle Cove at 6.32 am (traditional time for unknown reasons!).
Currently planning to take only 1 car but might take 2 if we have more takers. idea is to arrive down in Kangaroo Valley around 8.30-8.45 am. Now taking 2 cars as we have 4 so another 1 or 2 welcome !

My 1st time at Ourimbah - looking at doing 2 or 3 loops. Probably not the downhill - however open at this stage. Want to start at around 6:30am, however have posted 7am to give me time to get up there.

This train leaves central at 7:18am for those not driving.
Dirtworks training. Pace will be as close to 20km/hr as possible, though xmas beers may hamper this slightly.
Weather should be fine, fingers crossed!
Ill be the one with the black Spark.
Appin fun
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.
I'm going to Appin tomorrow with the SUAR guys. Sadly cannot offer anyone a ride as already committed the space to them.
But... come along if you're in the area
Will probably be a medium pace with plenty of stops to play/practice the technical sections.
The plan is to be back home by noon so should be around 3 hours riding.
Perimeter, Long and maybe Cowan if its open??
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Park opposite/beside Terrey Hills shops, corner Booralie Rd/Yulong Ave. Or in the small carpark next to the RFS station & community centre.
Getting the legs going for Mont24 and Dirtworks. Prefer to be a reasonable pace (15-20)km/hr but the main thing is to get out and breathe some fresh air and work some xmas carbs (beer) off so anyone welcome
Duckholes + Centre Maybe more
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Terry hills shops
Kick off the new year in good health. Casual paced ride, flexible with time, first time doing this ride so it would be awesome if someone who has done this could show me the way:)
See you there.
Early Oaks Trail Saturday

I will jump on a Lapstone station train at 6:49am (Central at 5:48, Emu Plains at 6:43, Glenbrook at 6:53, Woodford 7:23 arrive). Can meet at either Lapstone station at 6:49 or Woodford station at 7:23.
I havent done Oaks for around 2 years. Looking for an average to quick run down. Medium to good fitness. Will be on first carriage at Lapstone or meet at Woodford at 7:23 on arrival. If it looks like its going to rain I wont go.
NYD at North Turra
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Murrua track head - Murrua Rd North Turra - second left at the roundabout at the end of the golf course?
As discussed, let us take a trundle around North Turramurra. I've never ridden here so am looking for Lach to lead the way, but sounds like some out and back firetrail work so easy riding.
Guess this is close enough to Bobbin Head that those wanting more when we're done can have a trundle there too.
