Ourimbah State Forest Romp - Cancelled
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
I'll be showing a mate around for his first ride at Ourimbah thought we'd make a day of it.
Social pace to start with some faster laps thown in, not looking at riding downhill on the day.
Just looking to get some good riding in beofre the 24hr and the Fat Tyre.
Tour de Central Coast
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Fountain plaza. Erina nsw. corner of central coast highway (entrance road) and Karalta road
Hopefully proposed day suits... such a busy race scene at the moment.
There are lots of look outs to check out so the ride can seem quite sociable, I'm happy to start at what ever time suits who
is coming up to the coast.
It's at least 80km and not many safe spots to top up for water so bring enough to get ya thru it.
Any questions just ask.
chops.
Royal National Park Out And Back
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Usually Loftus Oval, Sutherland, just off the Princes Highway.
Going to ride the popular out and back trail, with a small loop thrown in, from Loftus Oval to Heathcote.
There’s plenty of fast flowing single track, a bit of fire trail and a couple of challenging hills thrown in. Pace will be medium (well for me medium, someone else may think it’s slow) and there will be limited stops.
Terrain isn’t too tricky, but good lights will be needed.
Be good to see you there.
Chris
Short Social Night Ride - Terry Hills
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Echunga Road (Japanese School).
We may head back for a meal at the Tavern. Not sure yet.
Short easy ride.
Check out the Royal Night Ride on the same night. I would go to that but I live in Thornleigh and it's a long drive to Loftus (on a school night) for a short night ride. Did the drive for the last trail-work-day, planning to ride there one day soon. The trails there look good. Quite popular too.
Return of the (mid week) Menai...
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
By the sports field on Old Illawarra Road, Barden Ridge.
Well, Menai sort of rhymes with Jedi!
Going for the usual mid week ride around Menai, won’t be venturing near the free ride areas and the more technical trails, these will be left for the daylight hours.
Pace will be reasonable, but plenty of stops to check we haven’t lost anyone, good night riding skills will be needed along with a good riding light.
I’ve said 8pm but if anyone wants to change, please feel free to PM me.
Look forward to seeing a few of you out there.
Cheers

If you would like to join me , you are welcome to come along . My plan is to ride a couple of numbered laps , stop for a bite another lap and by then the need for lights will be needed for the last slowdown lap from the pavillion to the Observatory and down via the sensational Berm Track , although it may be called the a different name .

After last weekend’s hell like ride at the Doctor, I'm wanting to put some fun back into my riding.
Looking to spend some time on some of the technical trails, the smaller free ride area and some of the sweet single track. Pace will be fairly slow (legs still haven’t recovered from cramping up for six hours) and I’ll be stopping regularly to rerun sections and build up the nerve to tackle some of the trickier stuff.

Planning on riding both days, the pace won't be super-fast.
Feel free to come along for either or both days.
Riding on Day 2 will start a little earlier. (Probably 8am'ish)
I will also be bringing my GF as she is keen to ride some of the other trails around the place, so consider this a WAG friendly weekend of riding out of the city.

After struggling though the hills at Mogo last year, I thought better of doing the Angry Doctor this year and just have not done enough prep. Anyhow, for those who are not going here is a good ride we can do.
I would like to do 3 laps, but if there is any demand for the DH we can have a crack at that too and do 2 xc laps.
This will be social, but limited stops, so only intermediate riders please.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Lucas Heights Community School, 132 Old Illawarra Road. Barden Ridge
The ride will be predominantly single track at a medium pace. It will take in some technical climbs, technical descents. flowing single track and a visit to both of the "North Shore" areas. The free ride areas consist of just about everything from small drops and gaps to large drops and gaps and of course some great berms. We will have a couple of runs at the two different areas and then move onto more single track. This ride is probably best suited to riders who have an intermediate skill level.

It's on all week, but I'll be there for the weekend, expecting to go down on Friday afternoon back Sunday evenng after the presentations.
Will take the bike and do a couple of rides too, although a bit early to confirm exactly where, but count on it being around the course where possible. Also a chance to ride some of the circuit that'll be used for the Scott 24. There's a ride posted already out at Majura on Saturday morning by Jeeten [ http://nobmob.com/node/9937 ].

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.
Will be heading down to Appin again this Saturday for 2 - 3 laps. Will be there about 8.30am but may be a little late if I encounter any traffic. If any one fancies joining me let me know, I'll be glad of the company.
Will most likely be taking the singlespeed hardtail out so it won't be fast laps but I'm aiming to do a reasonable pace.
UPDATE: Time now updated to 8.30am as 8.16 seemed a bit to fussy. Not sure what happened there.
Cheers
Dave
