Dinner
Mixed bag or crap!!

Started by over sleeping the alarm so instead of a small bowl of porridge an hour or more before my ride I scoffed down a couple of weetbix almost walking out the door.

Had intented to do perimeter to the end come back do long out and back and then out and back again then back to start. Didn't do long twice, thighs were feeling the heavier bike but did throw in a loop of the sniggle and then dropped back down the "wet" section of trail behind the houses to the top of the second hill, turned and came back up to cars at the Jap school, extra 3km and 4 climbs. Judging by today the lighter bike makes a huge difference so Wednesday nights good performance isn't just because of improved fitness, I could dream couldn't I? What I did notice though was that my HR was recovering much faster than last time I wore the monitor. Increased rapidly pushing up the hills but then dropped even faster coming back down the other side. Gotta take this as a genuine indication of increase fitness.

Dinner was hard, second test and I gotta be honest and say I didn't pass. Trivia night at the school with tables BYO food. We were tasked with cheese / dips and crackers. Had kind of expected others to be tasked with maybe some chicken or some kind of healthier choice, wrong. Only "food" as such was snags. Very tasty but not the lowest fat meal option. Everything else was chips dips, sweets etc. Should have planned better. Didn't help that I went there absolutely starving. Hindsight would suggest that next time I have something filling and healthy before I leave home, that way I am less likely to almost constantly graze as I ended up doing last night. Sure I will pay for this tomorrow. I have to learn how to deal with this sort of thing better as I want this to be a lifestyle change, not a diet.

Lessons learned, tomorrow will show the damage.
