Tough ride. Used this ride as a training exercise for the opener of the 2011 SRAM SingleTrack Mind Series. It was super tough! First 15-18km's of sheer climbing. Flew into the 20km drink station on the back of some awesome SingleTrack... Time for a quick rest! Exhilarating downhill fire trail followed... then climbing again... and again... and again!!

The last 10km was awesome singletrack and excellent quick steep drops down onto wooden bridges, heaps of fun just as well given the last climb was a killer!

This track really is for those who have mind over body, I was cramping after just 25km forcing me to keep in the saddle on the climbs (I dig standing on climbs attacking them in tougher gears to build some strength and stamina in my chicken legs!). Still, only had to use granny gear twice nailed everything else in the middle row.

I rode this with a mate who finally gave up a broken man after 42km. Top credit and respect to him as endurance isn't his sport (nor had he been able to properly prepare). Amazingly quick on the downhill I couldn’t get near him!

My GPS (which stops timing when not moving) clocked me at 3hrs 50mins but I reckon I could have made it at least 30mins quicker riding solo... will hopefully prove any critics to this claim wrong next year!

This is a must ride for anyone who enjoys a million tough climbs and fast paced downhill!
