Best type of training for Kowalski

With the Kowalski postponed until mid October (fortunately as I was under prepared) what do you believe is the best training rides/regime for the race?
As with the convict I would just hit the trails in Terry Hills and Cascades and get serious kms in those legs but the Kowalski seems to be a different race.

Would 4 hard laps of Manly dam and possums with a few laps Serrata thrown in be more beneficial than hitting the long fire trails of Terry Hills etc even though that many laps would only be around 50kms?

Social

Hi

I've been looking though the calendar and noted that only the race events were listed. Are there any regular social or training rides?

Ive been a long time mtb rider, who has been spending far too much time on the dark side (roadie) over the past few years. Im keen to find some riding buddies to help me get back on the dirt more regularly.

Thanks in advance!

I have pedalled there a heap of times and despite the numerous hellos to snakes, wallabies many goannas' and one echidna ( how good is mountain biking ) just cant get enough of the single track,

Ill let you guys suss it all out, but i can tell you it is a sweet lil spot where you do your session and within shuffling distance is beers, burgers and crystal clear waters at the beach

Great job Singleton Ambo's

This was on Monday morning, a rider practicing for the Shimano Series. For a non technical tracks I have had more crashes here than any technical track. The track is fast, and dusty, in great condition for the race. This guy was going full tilt when he clipped that tree. Ended up with a broken hip. The Singleton Ambos did a great job getting in to him and treating, Well done. Be warned after a few tired hours those trees can jump out and get you.

Clean up Australia Day - Single track on Mona Vale Rd

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Clean-up Australia is just around the corner – Sunday 6th March and as part of “Clean-up” the mountain biking community is doing its bit by fixing up our tracks.

The section of track between the Kuringai Community Nursery and Showgrounds is looking like a tip at the moment and would really benefit from a little love - cleaning up the litter and making it a lot more pleasant to ride.
