Mt York ascents

If a bloke rode up Berghoffers and then had to decide between riding down Lockyers or Lawson's Long Alley, and then back up the other one, what would folks recommend a bloke should do? Based on a preference for least hike-a-bike work.....

And if a bloke then wanted to get back down to Hartley Vale, is there a fourth descent that is reasonably rideable or should he just ride back down one of the two that he came up?

All this is assuming that it isn't too cold to get out of bed on Sunday morning of course.....

Andersons + oaks ride this weekend

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hey people has anyone ridden the Andersons trail in the Blue mountains recently and is able to comment on the state of the two river crossings at the bottom of the valley? Looking for places to ride this weekend that are bomb proof with all the lousy weather we've had and I know that the river crossings at Andersons can get pretty deep with decent rainfall I basically just want to know if it's passable or not.. I did the Oaks out and back on Sunday and the Glenbrook causeway was under .8 worth of water with a solid current to it which made passing through it a bit of a mission.

Lost sunnies at knapsack

Hi all i know its a little off topid and indeed slighlty off tne trail, but i just lost my favourite sunglasses along the path between the bmx jumps and lennox bridge so im a little desperate, re traced my steps a bunch of times but no luck,if any one comes across them please send me a message. Was my first time riding through there in a decade, great to see it all so legit after the dissapointing vigilante mobs of the lower blue mountains bulldozing of my childhood trails!

Looking for somewhere dry to ride this weekend

I have it on good authority that the inland trails are dry, if you are keen to do some DH then come to the state round at Lithgow this weekend

Aside from DH there are plenty of trails around Rydal and Bathhurst too.

Chicken Run & Headless Hut Destruction

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Well, it seems that BMCC without ANY consultation whatsoever has moved in a heavy excavator and chainsaws to flatten Chicken Run & Headless Hut.

Seems to be a new low that absolutely no consultation was entered into before rolling in the diggers...

Rider down on the Oaks single track

A rider went down after an overtaking mishap yesterday afternoon on the oaks single track. Unfortunately it looks like collar bone and rib fractures (ending his mont training campaign). Ambos were called and they did a great job getting to the sight in about 15 mins.
If anyone knows this fella, please PM me,
Cheers

Oaks single track (incl. realignment) - Feedback and Maintenance

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Following the opening of the single track realignment in Q2 last year there was a big push to get some feedback presented to the powers that be. I'm wondering if anyone is in the know about whether or not anything has come of this feedback and if we are likely to see any more work in the park in the foreseeable future? It’s been such a great addition, would be a shame if the work is not continued.
