Wylde Ride

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

The artwork is called ‘Wylde Ride’ and was created by Milne & Stonehouse

The artwork deconstructs cogs and bike elements and acts as a wind vane in celebration of the mountain bike track. It accompanies the refined mechanics, gearing and bicycle design with the sensation of wind and flying through the air.

Been out last w/e again and have to correct my previous update: The Swamp is only graded from Bees Nest towards Shaws. Clearly I must had a bit of a shock and didn't look the other way... - last weekend I rode the swamp trail and it's pretty much untouched, except that the fallen trunks have been cleared and a new branch (a big one) blocked the last creek crossing (Whitecross end). It's passable off your bike though.

According to http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/alerts/Alert... Bees Nest Hill, the swamp trail and Shaws are closed. I enetered from Springwood ridge and did not encounter any signed, so I didn't realise this. Said trails have been bulldozed. (M4 extension they didn't disclose??)

A good soul has cleared the tree fallen across the grotto link and while it's still madly overgrown, it's now fully ridable.
