NZ trip - we had to catch our own food...
Gav, Shaun, John, his son Mitch and I went out on Gav's parents boat on Lake Rotoiti, and local streams at 5 am (that's 3 am Syd time) to catch some dinner...
5 days of fresh rainbow trout for dinner.... life's tough!
Some humongous fish were caught during the trip - incl. a new record 6.2 pounder for Mr Groover!

Having to catch our own food over there but someone had to do it
The fish in the pic are 2-3lb and Supagav lived up to his name by putting us over the fish every day.
In 4 early morning fishing trips I beat my Australian personal best 3 times with 1 fish over 5lb, a 6lb 2 oz and a 6lb 14 oz monster, I caught 7 trout that week, all were rainbows and in great condition.
Imagine if we got serious and fished alot!
I was one very happy Groover and the MTBing was even better than the fishing!
You have no idea how homesick you've just made me after looking at those pictures. Looks like an awesome trip.
Damn....just noticed our secret fishing spot is now out in the open....

Happiness is a warm shock.
That's why you should take a pic of your bike at home with a GPS enabled device as you broadcast exactly where it is.
PS. I wonder how many people will go and check pics they have taken
That's a trap...
I always leave turning my Garmin on until I'm a block or two from home when tracking my commutes.
