It was a while ago, but I only just saw this in the random images- bloody well done
Was watching that AMB mag DVD the other day
And they were talking about people who do 24 hour solo events
I was thinking of you, John
They were saying something like these people were mentally unhinged and had talked their brain into accepting pain and suffering as some sort of enjoyment
Brilliant stuff. Muchos respeck

But thanks for you comments, good timing though cause I've just started on my 100 days of training for the Scott 24hr and I'm totally into it, I went down and up the Oaks Friday night, up and down Andos plus Hazo tracks on Sunday (88km) and I'm now doing 45km per day on the roadie 5 days a week until I improve then I'll increase that a bit, I'll have Saturdays off and do a long ride on Sundays, yes unhinged sounds close. I'm planning on doing better in the coming race and will be fitter, faster, lighter and better organised for this one. I'm hoping to keep all stops under 2 minutes to change bikes and pick up food/drink each 35km. Now I've said it, I just have to do what it takes to get there.
C.G. Carl Groover and Craig Gordons initials that's weird, my favourite quote from Craig is "I didn't come all this way to wear tread off my tyres" after winning the World Championship 24hr solo race in 2006.

Who's that old geezer on the left??
He doesn't even look like he's tired.
tired and if the race wasn't so bloody short I would have been one step higher on the podium.
Who's doing a 36hr these days?
where's the nobmob jersey? have you ordered a spare one to keep clean for podium moments john?
Well done John.
John Well Done mate!
