The new Ibis went well.
Rob's recommendation for grippy tyres was a good one - ran 2.1 Nevegals front and rear, and they gave amazing grip for the conditions. Excellent on the 'treacherous' downhill and really dug in round the lower paddock & single track.
Doesn't have the zip and acceleration of the Titus, but made up for it in overall handling.
Junkie put in fastest lap, but I was only 20 sec or so behind him for 2nd fastest, very happy with that!
We didn't have a weigh in, it wouldn't have meant much, as the first 100 metres loaded us up with half a kilo of mud each lap anyway.
I was the only one out there with arm guards, felt a bit silly, but really expected to slip out somewhere at least once on the weekend. As it turned out, stayed upright (thankfully) and didn't need them.
Did you pip steve on the scales?
Let there be light
