Hornsby Council lobbying... time to bang the table

From HSMBA:
Hi Everyone,

We continue to come under fire from conservationist groups. Our recreation
is called short term, expensive, exclusive, for a small age group and that we
will lead to the ultimate destruction of all flora and fauna. Seriously!

So we have a real battle because even though we know the facts do not
support these claims, the decision makers do not necessarily know the truth
and are swayed. We are trying to educate them with the facts and also
inviting them to the IMBA workshop for land managers in late April, but it's
a battle.

Please go to bangthetable.com and make comments on the following (or click
agree. For pro MTB comments. We need to show that we have numbers.
We need to show them that we are not a small group. Also, the above
community consultations are a key to getting priority and funding.

We have made a fantastic impact on the Hornsby Quarry Masterplan and
have MTB firmly implanted in the future there. All it takes is to make a
comment on the bangthetable site and it's there as an official record to be
taken note of. We need individuals to make mountain biking known as a
priority at the above links. Mountain biking should be important in the
community plan and we can also request that the infrastructure levy be
used for establishing cycling routes and mountain bike trails.

Please make the effort. Every little bit helps us move in the right direction
and Council have indicated that they really need to hear from individuals.

Please.

Thank you.
