What gear you pushing now?

I'll give this frame 3 weeks, 4 days, 5 hours and 15mins.

I thought you had already busted one of those.

The history of fatarse's broken bikes really deserves its own thread.

That was a steel version. This one is the wife's bike, lets see how aluminum go's

this ones got a 32:17 on it

enrol in a TAFE welding course-then buy a MIG welder, could be cheaper in the long run?

Charge Duster SS available if this Alu one kicks the bucket: http://nobmob.com/node/16844

Nah, don't like riding kids bikes.

Then you should stop riding them. Sticking out tongue Eye-wink

Fair enough - riding a Woman's bike is a better option.

if it's good enough for Willow, it's good enough for me. Just had a reminder of why I like steel frames.

This one should hold up.

well, that's that then. I had an email chat with the Banshee engineer (barspin imputs got me in touch). he reckons this frame is impossible to break. he says that if i was to break it, i would be the 1st in the world to break it. It's ONNNNNNNNN, a challenge has been layed. pulled the trigger on a sexy all white frame. Here's hoping I don't have to tell the wife that I have busted another frame.

ADZA's picture

dude, how heavy are you that you are breaking frames so frequently???
or do you just ride really hard??

......'s picture

105kgs. nothing extreme. It's just a fatigue thing i think. single speeding puts a fair bit of torque through the frame. They just fatigue over time and give way.

it's on the way. With any luck i will be spending time building this thing this weekend. Apparently they come without any decals, ive always liked non stickered bikes

And the Titanic was unsinkable.

it's all done, it's way to white, needs a little colour i think

Empy's picture

About that.

Hope you weren't offended by my comment, merely reflecting on your previous form.

Been ridden yet?

novomongoose's picture

Photos ... or it didn't happen.

Will maybe see you around Glenrock?

Good luck with this one - maybe you could resist the challenge to try and break it?!?
