Hi,

I am new to Sydney and living close to Manly Dam. Looking for people to hit up the trails at Manly Dam a few times a week to get my fitness back up. Don't currently have a car so that is why I am thinking Manly Dam as it is riding distance for me. Would love to meet some of you local riders for a blat on the bike. If the weather is good I hope to head out a few times during the week as I am not working this week.

Hope to hear from you locals.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Went for a ride there today and what a pretty sweet trail. A bit out of shape, but it is so close to my house. Go Sydney!! Still looking for people to ride with Smiling

Welcome!

If you'd like some company just post your ride in the calendar when you know when/where you'll be riding and tell everyone what a great time they'll have coming along! If you do that just about any weekend at Manly Dam am sure you'll get some takers. Smiling

P.S. Keep an eye out for rides at Ourimbah/Yellomundee/Awaba - these are the closest real single track but you'll need a friendly offer of a lift there as they are way out of town.

+1 to Ourimbah for singletrack. Hoping to do Yellomundee and Awaba soon.

For fitness, you might want to look at Cascades, which is within easy riding distance. Relatively non-technical, but it has some nice waterbars for launching off. Just look out for the babyhead rocks, one of the waterbars that has a hidden sharp left turn behind it (say hello creek Eye-wink )... and don't run over the friendly python! http://nobmob.com/node/17872

Thanks for the advice guys. Will be sure to check out the Cascades and post a ride on the calendar once I know my weekend schedule.

Cheers,

Jeremy
