From Warringah Council:

Manly Warringah War Memorial Park (Manly Dam) is the largest bushland reserve managed by a local council on the northern beaches. The Park covers an area of about 375 ha of which 78% is bushland. Manly Dam itself is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Sydney, with a surface area of about 30 ha and unlike other waterways in bushland parks, it is freshwater, deep and safe for different water based activities.

Council requires a new Plan of Management for Manly Dam, to take a fresh look at what the community values about the Park and to develop current management actions to maintain, protect and enhance these values. The first step in preparing this Plan of Management is to seek your comments and feedback on Council's newly released Issues and Directions Discussion Paper.

Your comments will help guide Warringah Council and the NSW Land and Property Management Authority in confirming the key values and management directions for the Park and to set a new vision for the future of Manly Dam. It is important that you have your say!
