Has anyone here done any mountainbike orienteering? I did one race - it was fun, but I really sucked at it! (reason being that I just rode the tracks between checkpoints which looked interesting, rather than were fast. I ignored the fireroad and bitumen and cruised on the slow singletrack Smiling

The NSW MTBO club are running another race near Raymond Terrace up North - on the 28th August.

2007 NSW MTB-O SuperSeries Event #5 - 26 August 2007 - Wallaroo

"
Entries are now open for the long awaited SuperSeries Event #5. We are well and truly into the second half of the season and the winners table is looking tight. There are also lots of new names in the list and it is great to see everyone getting out there and having fun.

Wallaroo, just north of Ramond Terrace, was last used in March 2006 for one of Australia's MTB-O world ranking events. You get to ride a world ranking/championship course close to home and just far enough north to avoid the cold winter. The area is in native bushland on undulating to steep terrain. Tracks range from wide and fast flowing to challenging. There is something for everyone.

Course lengths and further details are on the entry form, which is available in word or pdf format. Just click on the format of your choice to download. Entries close 17 August. Get your entries in and make this one to remember. We only need 105 riders to break the attendance record for this year!

It looks like I'm free that day, and I'd like to enter. Does anyone want to do this as well?

You don't enter in teams - it's an individual thing - but it'd be nice to do it with someone who I kindov-sortov know.
