Headed north on boxing day with my bike for a week of intense riding (and visit family) I was based at Bonny hills at my Parents place so lots of home cooked meals ( and my gear washed everyday Thanks Mum)
Day 1. I headed over to my brothers workshop and fitted up some new ignitors tubeless ,and put a new bush in my shock this all took about 45 mins , then we headed over to the Queens lake state forest which is about 500 meters from his house, and straight into single track ,did a 25 k loop on fantastic trails, no big hills just flowing single track with bridges over fallen trees, up and down gullies and a variety of terrain ,awesome stuff. An early night for an early start tommorow.
Day2 .5 am start and off to Nambucca heads for 3 hour club Enduro ,it was a pretty warm day and there was about 50 entrys which was pretty good for a public holiday, the course was a fairly flat 10 km loop mostly single track and a lot of fun with some log rides and a sooth fast surface.I finished in 3:25 with 7 laps and was very happy with that .Ended the day with a swim and then some beer and I was totally Knackered!
Day3 rest day, went into port mac to Greame seers cyclery and purchased a used Giant TCR 1 road bike my christmas present to myself! then went for a swim and visited rello"s.
Day4 went for a ride on the road bike did about 70km ,had to try it out !
Day5 started the day with a trip to telegraph point and did 3 laps of the course 2 anti clockwise and one clockwise just to mix it up a bit and in the arvo another loop of Queens lake ,but with a some extra trails thrown in and a few trails used in bottle butt 100 there is a huge amount of trails in this large area, great place to explore but better with a guide!
Day 6 started the day with an early morning fishing trip with my non riding brother( he rides Moto's)
then late afternoon there was a local group ride on single tracks around mount jollynose ,so I joined in on this ride led by Jason English ,a fast run through a variety of single trails some I could recognise others new to me ,But what a blast, I rode my arse off to keep up and Jason was just cruising chatting away not even working up a sweat! great stuff.
Day 7 an early morning trip down to Kiwarrak, with my 2 oldest brothers, we met up with Kiwarrak legend Dave and a group of local tip riders, and joined them for a blast around the best trails I have ridden ,Allways amazes me how perfect these trails are and how Quickly the locals ride! another fantastic morning.
Day 8 Early morning start this time up to pine creek at coffs Harbour, home of the pleasure and pain enduro , more great trails in pristine Aussie bush did a couple of loops here fun fun fun!
on the way back we stopped for a nice feed at Macksville ,then down to Kempsy to ride the golfcourse trails , I did a 6 hour here a couple of years ago so I knew what to expect and was excited as this place is a rippa! did 2 loops around here with some great variations to the loops, log rides and bridges one bridge must go for about 100 meters and it gets narrower as you go ! awesome we finished off with a cold beer at the golf club before heading back for a swim.
a fantastic week of riding in an area just littered with single track ,I recomend If you get the chance this area is unreal .

As you described so many better tracks that could of been used in the Bottlebutt.
Teley point in reserve would be different riding up some of those log roll offs.
Plenty of other good places to ride up there Bago, and they even have a couple of short course mountain bike tracks right in the center of town.
Weather has been good up there as well for a change.
Need to get back up there.
