if you get a buyer sounding super enthsiastic and offering to pay asking price and organise the courier, insist on payment direct to your account.
There have been quite a few instances of redirection scams where the buyer claims non-delivery, PayPal sucks the money back out of your account, and it's the last you see of your bike.
I had my old giant reign on bmorc etc for a couple of months without a hit. Once on bikeexchange I had about 5 decent enquiries and sold it within a couple of weeks.
As hawkeye points out, I did get a scam email too. Bikeexchange has pointers on how to deal with it. I'll be selling my old FSR frame soon too..probably the same way!
I've looked for bikes on bike
I've looked for bikes on bike exchange but never sold one.
I've always had success listing them on rotorburn
Bike exchange
Yes .This site is great for buying & selling. I have bought 4 bike through it
Yep
I bought my bike through them. I'll be using NobMob & Bikeexchange to sell too. No more ebay fees for me.
Just keep your scam radar tuned up.
