00:39:34 This is the time according to the timing tent all though the Garmin has me quicker. Not sure which to pick so will go with this slower one while I figure it out.

Actually I notice on Strava that I did a 35.40 back in Nov 2010
It's weird though, the loop looks like it might be shorter and yet all Sunday's times are showing up on that segment so it must be right? right? I'm confused.

It was a different loop in 2010 but as strava only looks at start and finish points and then a percentage of the segment to say you completed it. Below is an example of it saying I did 5 gorges but I didn't even do PITS

Yeah, it works well most of the time but the longer the segment or once you add and out and back then it doesn't work so well.
