HI Guys

I think I've ridden most of the trails at Red Hill, but I've never come across these sections featured on NoBMob (or maybe they look very different now?) Can anyone help point out where they are?

is this

somewhere below this?

Assigning Letters (in order: A, B, C, D) to your photos see their locations on google maps:

The last two (E, F) I believe are the old downhill track or could even be part of Oxford falls downhill? someone else will correct me on this.

Awesome thanks!

Wow A + B look REALLY different, especially B its very open now.

D - Ah I need to get down there for sure!

E - I've ridden too .. but not down I might need to go on a recce beyond that drop to see if F is down there.

One last question .. Where is Itchy and Scratchy?

The last photo is taken at the very start of the rim ride. Go through the motocross section, take the singletrack on the left side and you should find it straight ahead. Last time that I rode there, it was quite sandy as you roll out but it is still definitely in use.

E was awesome but is a washed out mess. Between Motos and very unsustainable B line added later after the builders left that washed out the lander and run out. This is below F on the track that runs straight on from E.

Unfortunately I understand that these tracks got abandoned 5 years ago during the NPWS clampdown as they were thought to be in NP's.

F is still good although the lander is a bit worn 8 weeks ago. We used to ride it before the lander anyway. You had to take a line more to the riders right and pop off a lip and get your bike back under you before the ground.

E takes you down to the Parkway and was how I linked up back to Oxy.

At the bottom of F if you go right was another DH. Also in a mess. If you go right and stay mostly high there is a climb that joins up with rim ride. It joins up with rim ride at the T you turn right at when using the main entrance. By main entrance I mean the drops to the right exit of Mr Motocross.

Simon .. just checking .. E (the one with the number of jumps) is below F (The big drop) or is it part of the Moto-Rim Ride connection?

I ended up at F on many occasions trying to find the Rim Ride, I think I also ended up on the DH from F that links up with the Rim Ride .. and the scary thing is I did that in very wet conditions on my 1 inch travel Big W bike !!! Last time I went there on my Reign I walked it. Smarter?

I think photo D is sometimes called Pink Rock, and its a lot steeper & scary looking than it appears in the photo, and there's often a slimy trickle of water running down it - although there is an easier line around it.

Itchy & Scratchy starts near where the Cromer Rd firetrail intersects with a short dead-end offshoot to a power transmission line. Its east to miss as its only a small gap in the overhead high scrub. It runs downwards in a North-Easterly direction that spits you out on the bitumen access road above the Academy, just near the locked gate above the hairpin bend with private residence.

Yep, E is below F.

It doesn't look like this now unfortunately. It's about halfway down the DH directly ahead of F. It's not part of the rim ride connection.

The other DH track to the riders right below F can be linked to rim ride. Just stick right at every opportunity until you end up going up hill. I need to push for 5-10m up an eroded section. Don't follow the DH track down.

Good luck on a Big W bike! I get by on my hardtail but at least it's 160mm travel on the front.
