Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to replace the handlebars on my Giant XTC hardtail. I've come up with the following options
FSA K-Force
Pro XCR
or
Truvativ Noir T40
I'm looking for a riser set not flat. Anyone had any experience with these bars? Or could anyone recommend a carbon set of bars under $150?

When I was looking for a carbon handlebar earlier last year I picked the Easton EC90 SL.
If you shop around you can get it for less than $150.
I've also got an XTC 29er in a large size. I found the standard bars too straight and caused wrist pain. I got a set of carbon bars - 3T Extendo Team - 740mm wide - 12 degree sweep and slight rise. I find these great. Let me know if you want to try them. Cheers Peter
Im also using the 3T Extendo Team carbon bars on a new 29er HT build. They cost approx $80-$90 from wiggle a few weeks back.
I wanted a 700mm + carbon flat bar. I had previously been running the niner carbon flat bar which i really liked but had to be replace because of damage.
These bars are a bit strange as they are sold as a flat bar, but are more like a low rise bar with the way the sweeps setup & graphics placement.
I have mine setup with the sweep @ maximum to get them low as i prefer a lower front end.
They look a bit weird as in this position all the graphics are pointed directly up.
First ride i wasnt sold on them but after a few adjustments, I'm liking them more & more.
On my 2nd set of Crank Brothers Iodine 11 AM bars.
Never had a problem, and they have reinforcement at the ends so you don't have to be afraid of over tightening bar ends, or having them crack when you throw the bike down the road.
vote here for easton haven carbon bars
First thing changed on my old XTC - the bars - didn't even ride once with them got the shop to change them.
Have had the Noir bars and they were very good, withstood a few crashes on the XTC and the next bike. But finally they broke. Wasn't the bars fault really, crashed on a rocky section, then next time I pulled up on the bars to clear a rock the right side broke. The reason why some won't put carbon bars on an MTB.
Would consider them again as good bar and good value, lightish, but not the lightest.
+1 for the Crankbrothers Iodene carbon.......Sooooo goood!
