how are the stinky's as a freeride/am bike? are they easy to pedal or too heavy? and where could i find one in store around newcastl

Can you pedal it? Possibly. I have, once, never again.

Would you want to pedal it? No.

Why? Mine weighs 23kg+

What's it like downhill? Good but not great. Long wheelbase makes for stable riding but there's no point in trying to change direction quickly.

When I did ride it once, between trails it was a bore. It's so plush that half my energy was spent compressing the suspension before the bike moved forward.

AND - travel is 170mm. Yep, 170mm. New Enduro has 165mm. 2011 Enduro has 160mm. Stumpy FSR has 140mm. For an extra 10-30mm travel, you get an extra 10kg and you'll give up riding after your first non-shuttle ride.
