24 hour MTB race to be run at Manly Dam next year.
Just caught up with a guy I know very well in council. There are concrete plans to have a 24 hr MTB race around the dam sometime soon. As part of it 2km of existing and new single track will be cut in on the southern side climb.
About time I say! Should be announced shortly.

I heard that too - 100k in prize money. Bank of cyprus is putting the cash up

Plenty of people had heard and were getting practice laps in.
I heard they're going to dig a tunnel under Wakehurst Parkway to join up the Bantry Bay loop

Thats great! I've had to travel out of town usually to get to these 24hr events so its great there is finally one on my backdoor step! And that prize money, wow this sounds like a great event, I can't wait for it. Keep me posted on registration and date.
