I've used both. I have packed a 2002 XL Santa Cruz Heckler ( it's a BIG bike) into it with the wheels in wheel bags and provided you take off the handle bars and seat it's is a superb snug fit. I think it would struggle with bigger wheels though. The body bag is heaps bigger - I used this for years before the Tardis but to me I felt the bike was a lot safer in the Tardis. It also fits in quite a few large car boots which is a major benefit.

I have traveled extensively with both the Body Bag and Tardis.

The Tardis is far superior.

The bike packs to a much smaller and manageable shape, making it easier to carry, pack into cars/buses, lug around airports etc.
I am able to shoehorn my XL sized 29er hardtail into the older generation Tardis (apparently the latest model has been upsized to accommodate 29ers more easily).
