Hi all,

Putting the feelers out for a return to Ourimbah day. Will be looking to include both the XC and DH riders out there.

For those that havent ridden at Ourimbah before, it is a challenging location that offers a great XC ride and a ripper DH.

Likley weekend would be the 15/16 March.

Never been there as I mentioned to you - but can't do that w/end unfortunately

Count me in for this one, never ridden Ourimbah, looking forward to all that famed singletrack.

Anyone able to do it over the easter break by chance?

If you could make it a Saturday I'd be keen.

Ta,
Matt.

If Alex can get the same van from Stromlo I will be there no matter what.

I'd be keen for another go at Ourimbah

I could be up for Ourimbah again. Depends on a couple of things but definitely put me down as a maybe.

As for which day, Saturday sounds good to me. May bring a couple of mates too, will see.

Oh, and I personally can't do the easter weekend.

Cheers,

Im exact opposite to Nate in for Saturday out for Sunday( Lee you choose ), at a pinch could do Sunday if its an early ride . What's Cpt Cannondale bagger Alex up too?? Got a hand carved penguin bone C frame to kick up some dust in your face Alex my mate , are you going to hit the gap jump this time ??? lol
or are those Treks to heavy to fly ;-]

Iam also with Dez (sorry nate!) and can only do the Saturday - however! since I haven't been there for a year don't worry about THAT!! - i can always wait - plus i 'aint no downhiller!

c'mon Dez, you know that!! Alex is a master showman and just keepin us in suspense.

Best of both worlds.. call me an Ourimbah junky, how about XC on Sat and DH on Sun? (Dez, how early is early?)

do saturday if that works for most, I'll just sit this one out......can't miss Jack Johnson!

Hi Lee , if it is going to be Sunday I would have to leave by 12 . to make it home in time to clean up for work at 2p.m. so I could probably get a few runs in . Say an xc warm up from 8.30- 9.30 which would leave two hours for shuttles . My 4B can take 4 riders for shuttles with driver rotation. Nate what time is J.J. concert on you should be able to fit an early ride in?
If Saturday we can make it an all day any time start as far as I am concerned but its your day and your call mate you flip the coin , but my vote is for Saturday.

Im in for XC if it is early on sunday morning. How would i go doing the downhill on my giant trance? Would i be ok to roll down the downhill? i have been to ourimbah many many times but still have not done the downhill, Mostly because i don't have a downhill bike.

Matt's picture

You can roll all the downhill track if you need to, especially now there's extra shore on some of the previously tricky bits. It's not too tricky really, unless you're going really fast ;-}

oh sweet yeh i thought u meant this weekend..ummm yeh i can prob just do sunday morning myself, have to be early-ish too..cant do saturday..happy to hire a van again mr muffin, that thing was a luxury machine which few can rival Eye-wink
dez- maybe, my shoulder still hurts months on, and is telling me not to though! and when i have i ever criticized the awesome power of the cannondale bicycle? Eye-wink
