Hi Guys,

Minutes of the ox falls meeting are now added to the post on Farkin (see link above). I have also started a survey to obtain info on the number of riders who use the ox falls DH tracks. This may be used to assist MWMTB demonstrate just how large a user group we are in their lobbying for legal riding venues. Details on how to complete the survey are found in the Farkin thread.

Regards,

Dave
DH Coordinator
MWMTB

I can be super dim but since i can't see the link Dave was putting on I went to Farkin to fill in the survey and it appears I have to register with them to do so - is this right? Has anyone else been there or are you all already registered?

You will not be able to see this unless logged in to Farkin. It asks these questions:

Name?

Suburb of Residence?

Are you a member of a MTB club?

If so, which club?

How many times a month do you use the Oxford Falls DH tracks?

What features are important to you in a gravity track? (Please rank 1 to 5, with 5 being very important and 1 being the least important):

  • DH track with natural landscape features?
  • North Shore style wooden stunts and purpose built jumps?

Then send it to [email protected]

I will email it to you
update : just sent it hope it works for you now

I have filled in the survey and joined their mailing list... I am appalled at how much land they want to develop

Stuart M's picture

land is locked away because of cultural significance and the next it sold for development. I presume these sensitve areas will continue to be protected and this would give the large number of full time workers something to maintain.

Alex's picture

"The land is actually controlled by the Aboriginal Land Council (ACL) who appear to have sold out to developers"

hahaha! are you serious! check and mate npws lol
