Has anybody heard anything about the WWS 8hr events. The website isn't up. I was looking forward to doing these events again this year, but I haven't heard a thing.
Has Bright Orange Events folded or are they just a little slow to get organised?
Any information would appreciated.
Thanks.

Slow to get organised

I had a call from Stu before Xmas. The series is suppose to be going ahead. Kicking off First or second week in Feb at Lithgow.
There are whispers of other rounds being locked in too. Hopefully we will know more real soon

Stu contacted us in November (or early Dec, I can't remember), but I had the impression it was all happening again this year.

I heard from a mate who heard from city bike depot that the working week series is cancelled this year. I hope it is a lie.or even a nasty rumour will do.

Well flynny's post above should put an end to your rumor.

Rightly or Wrongly, stu attracts a fair bit of attention and negative press, but I would be more likely to believe the clubs approached over the series than innuendo going through the industry.

Stu has the website back up http://www.brightorangeevents.com/

Round one will be at Lithgow (Lidsdale) 8th Feb.

Rumours be damned!

I love the WWS 8hr events, they are always fun. Not sure if this is Stu's doing or the club that happens to be running it, but anyway they are good events.
But i wish Stu would get his act together with his website and communication to riders. IMO dates should have been announced late last yr or first week Jan at the extreme latest. This gives us time as riders to plan our racing schedule, there i already events posted that i have entered already or plan to do, if a WWS event happens to fall on the same day or very close to it, doubt i can do both. Maybe if the dates were listed already i would have chosen the WWS events as i have enjoyed everyone i have entered.
Also Stu (if you read these posts), if you say you are going to do soemthing, then do it, ie online entries opening on a specific date (do it), promised prizes and giveways, do it, people will only put up with slackness for so long, no matter how good the event is. Rant over. Will forward an email to Stu but as in the past i doubt he will respond.

I will most likely ride with Debs and her son Tom, however last year they carted 'Tom Knievel' away in an ambulance. He suffered short term memory loss and could not remember the crash or the weekend so he wont remember how tough the track is. We will camp at the track arriving Saturday afternoon.
See you there.
