Rucksack for 6 day ride

Hi guys
me and a mate are doing a 6 day mtb ride coast to coast across Scotland in 5 weeks - 60-70km with 1000-1200m ascent per day. (5 hours on sat on the west head trails in torrential rain was probably great training !!)
I need a good mtb rucksack which is 25L-30L large to carry spares/gear and spare clothing (hopefully carrying only 7-8kg plus water bladder each). (we are staying in guest houses and hostels en route). I have done some preliminary research and possibles are Deuter Transalpine Alpine 30L ; DhB Elsted 30L
Just wondering whether anybody had any good suggestions
Cheers
Donal

Donal,
I'll tell you more about it tomorrow night when we catch up, but have a look at this concept:

This stuff keeps it off your back, and works for full suspension bikes. They do a lot of custom stuff to fit pretty much any frame.
It's used a lot by the Great Divide Racers and the like.

wow, I've never seen stuff like those "Pogies". They could be just the thing for a Terry Hills night ride in winter. http://www.epicdesignsalaska.com/

A medium gas tank might come in handy. "The Medium size has the same 10″ length of Large, but is narrow."
