Hey Guys,
Anyone recommend any trails (fire Primarily) that would be similar to the Wollombi 30km?
I want to start training and need some good hills.
I was thinking the oaks.? I'm Narrabeen based, and don't have a road bike- not really interested in doing that.

Never use 4 year old (well used) tyres when competing in an endurance event. I managed to blow out the front tyre wall with just 10k to the finish. I had to walk home and nearly came last. Grrrrr......

Race compound will be in the grounds of the Wollombi Tavern off Great Northern Road, Wollombi, Hunter Valley, NSW. About 20min from Cessnock and about 90min from Sydney

Was up Newcastle way this weekend and was chatting to a couple of fellow MTBr's who were telling me about the Wollombi Wild Ride.
Just checked it out on the net. Fun event starting/finishing from the infamous Wollombi Tavern.
3 Categories - Novice 15k, Intermediate 30k, Intermdeiate / Advanced 60K rides. The Tavern is putting on a band etc starting at 1pm after the event. Event is all for charity - Hunter Prosotate Cancer Alliance So for a good cause too.
