Got close shaved on McCarrs by worlds dummest driver

So guy close shaves me today on McCarrs then gives me the finger to ensure i knew it was deliberate. So if it was in a Ford Ranger or Holden Ute probably hard to find the wanker but this genius does it in a Burgundy Citroen station wagon. I am thinking there are probably 1 of those on the Northern Beaches - if you know the car or driver please let me know here

10 tonnes of rock!

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

That's how much material was used last month to remediate a badly eroded section of the Manly Dam trail (8 tonnes of crushed sandstone and another 2 tonnes of flagging).
A small group of volunteers joined Trailcare for the first volunteer maintenance day at Manly Dam in more than 2yrs
The 3rd Saturday of each month is the new recurring date for volunteer maintenance at the Dam
Northern Beaches council and the rangers at the dam are supporting our sport by supplying material and hand tools for each of these days

Clandulla

Just spent the last couple of weeks farm sitting at Clandulla (60km South of Mudgee NSW) and rode the single track in the State Forest there nearly everyday. If you are heading out that way it's worth a look.

Expressions of Interest in being filmed

Hi everyone,

I am an aerial videographer and I am developing a new way to shoot action sports such as mountain bike riding. I am looking for people in the Sydney and / or Blue Mountains area who would be willing to volunteer their time to be filmed by drone. As thanks, you would get to keep copies of the footage for your own use. It would probably take about a 3 hours or so on a weekend and would simply involve you riding some accessible trails at a convenient location while I film using a drone. We will also conduct appropriate safety briefings beforehand and discuss various logistics.

Looking for trails

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hey guys, Im new to Mountain biking and im looking for a trail around Sydney. Preferably within Sydney/Blue mountains but im willing to travel.

I'm fairly confident on a bike and had a fair bit of experience with dirt jumps. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a downhill/trail that has a fair bit of jumps but not something you'd give a complete beginner.

Thanks for your help and im keen to hit the trails!!!

Gloves

During the last 3 months I have gone through three sets of gloves. What do you recommend to buy for trail riding with gel inside so you don't get pins and needles.

Zig Zag Railway at Knapsack Bridge Track to Glenbrook Raaf Base

Hi Everyone,

I have been recently exploring the Knapsack downhill track and found the bottom of it after setting off from Penrith to the GWH to Mitchell Pass on my mountain bike. I was hoping to find a track to the RAAF base so I could get to Glenbrrok. Does anyone know a better way to get to the RAAF base?

Big climbs / descents

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I recently drove across the Barrington Tops from Gloucester to Scone. On the Scone side is a magnificent bit of farm road dropping over 800m down to Moonan Flat in just over 11 kms. Had a look at Strava and the climb is in there as a segment with a 7% average gradient and a ridiculous KOM time (from my perspective anyway). There is an even longer version continuing on up to Polblue picnic area in the NP which takes the distance up to 21 km and elevation up to 1060m at an average of 5%. The NP section is a fairly rocky road base where a smooth line might be hard to find.
