It is a very nice looking bike , what is the first thing you are going to change on it ? Or do too it ? A wheel upgrade down the track is all you will need I think
Shock pump is the first thing you'll *need*. Torpedo 7 has Giyo units for about 3o bucks - had mine for a couple of years, has served me well.
A wheel upgrade you can leave until you get a hankering to go racing. What you've got is fine for recreational riding, and I should probably take my own advice and put my entry level set back on and keep the SLR's for racing.
you have no mates now , now that you have a nice new bike best option is to put a bolt in the ground & a good chain & padlock spare no expense on these items . The bike is too hard too replace especially the time it takes to save up for it
The X2 is excellent. I think you should record the serial number, get the bike listed on your insurance, lock it to something, cover it with an old sheet, and lock the door.
Luckily i don't need to spend a lot on it, it came with a shock pump, riding lights, few diffrent tires, etc...etc...Lots of fun changing the air pressure in the shocks although having a tad of trouble dialing it in.
Only thing i need to do is change the handlebars or shorten them (stacked it first ride cos i clipped my handlebars on a tree on the single track
As for weight, not sure. My scales aren't the most accurate but i weighed my old rock hopper in at 12.5kg (dosent sound right) and this feels like a feather in comparison.
As for security, for the time being no need. The baby's been sleeping in my bed.
Also posted some more photos of my bike, not quickies this time. I rather like them
Nice buy Joanthon. I have a Trance X2 as my first dualie, bought it in December last year and am loving still loving it a lot. Really nice cruisy ride but still aggressive enough that I can chew up the singeltrack. That's not saying that I am very fast, just that the *bike* is capable of that!
Nice one. Now you just need the trails to dry out.

Forget the upgrades for a while, but don't forget to protect your investment.
Nice ride, congratulations.
What's your new baby weight?
Pikey
Looks like thats in a garage.
I'd invest in something like a Doberman or large safe.
But don't go getting paranoid!
