This is one of those tricky ones as its a trail in national park that is technically not a firetrail, so technically could be called single track. It is however in the middle of nowhere.
It is also mentioned on the Fat Hippy website which is a site that is linked from the NPWS website.
So basically I'd say as far as the letter of law goes riding it is like "home taping of TV shows", not legal, but kind of irrelevant. As far as listing it on the map as legal single track that may not be possible if everything is to be kept completely kosher.
That said, I can't remember is if "single track" or is it possibly grown over double track?
It's clearly signposted as Bike legal singletrack (like the Singletracks at the Oaks and Loftus). Remember the NPWS rule is that singletrack IS allowed for bicycles if explicitly signposted as such.
I rode through there in April 2010 and I saw the track, but I don't remember seeing the signpost. A fellow rider indicated that the track was very overgrown.
Did you check out the singletrack?
No, I dont know where it is.
Just off to the left as the trail turns to the right about 1/3 of the way along the trail in your pic.
Here's a map:

The singletrack is the left "arm" of the Y
All NPWS legally sigposted for bikes too, which is nice (albeit rare).
Nice. If there's legal single track in the area then add it as a track

This one is definitely ok.

I've just uploaded a picture of the sign http://nobmob.com/node/18112
And it's definitely singletrack. Tight, enclosed singletrack. 5.5kms of it each way out and back.
Have added the single track
Good to hear there is another single track in the mountains that NPWS have as legal!
Looks like it needs a little riding in however, that can only help.
I was going to upload the KML tonight when I got home.

Use it or lose it I guess.
Nature will reclaim the track if it gets no traffic.
