Details:

This is social but pace will be moderate. I haven't ridden for a few weeks so will be quite unfit, but I'd like to try to get two laps in within the 2 hours I've alotted. However, I have a hard deadline to complete the ride by 08:30.

If I don't get to the start of the second lap within the hour, I'll probably swing over to Perimiter and do a partial out-and-back to use up the remaining time.

There is some road ridng between Duck Holes and Centre, and some of the climbs on Centre will provide a little interesting technical challenges. Great views from a couple of spots on Centre track, too.

Newbies joining us should remember to bring some jersey pocket food like gels, jelly snakes or a banana or two to top up reserves while riding along maybe a bidon (bottle) of gatorade, to keep the bonk monsters away. Smiling Plenty of water is a must, of course.

See you there!

Thanks for your company, guys. That was a good starter to clear out the lungs and get the legs moving. Was plesantly surprised how well the hand held up.

Dude...after all the joking we actually saw a snake on the perimeter trail !!!! I still can't believe it. Patrick it must have been a 6th sense (or maybe just a courteous kiwi) to let you go first down the trail...not only did you clear the cob webs, but you also were the one to see the snake. I think I'll always let an aussie ride ahead!!!! Kiwi's have reason to be nervous biking in here!!!!

I posted a picture under "Terry Hills"... [Ed. in the ride gallery (see above), and here:]

Don't worry, there's no sun, there'll be no snakes...
