When:
Sunday, 20 May, 2007 - 07:30
Duration:
2 hours
Come Rain or Shine:
SMS/PM me before to confirm.
Ride Database Entry:
Oxford Falls (Morgan Road)
Meeting Point:

At the top of the track, which I am assuming is on the bend with all the parking on the street???

Details:

Well, smorning I went for a ride to find the oxford falls falls to photograph for a project I am working on. But needless to say, being the first time I have been on the track I got utterly and hopelessly lost, and ended up coming home having not penetrated the bush more than a kilometer or two. So, this is the opportunity for a fairly slow (i'll have all my heavy camera gear in backpack....) ride to the Oxford falls falls and possibly other areas.

So yeh, I know it's really late notice, but if your up for a fun ride then give me a call, reply, or PM me. My number is 0432515658.
Cheers
Mitch

Depending on the takers, you may do okay finding your way down to the falls. Always easier with a group. But by yourself, my advice to you would be to print off the overhead / interactive picture of Oxford Falls from Google Earth. This follows the trails towards where the falls are. Saves you getting lost. You might be best getting there mainly using the fire trails, with a short traverse along a single trail just at the end towards where the falls are. That would be a left turn.

PS - the falls aren't that big, although we did just have some decent rain this week. Compared to the falls photographs in the review section, the current amount of water running over those falls is quite small. Not sure how cool your photo will turn out. But I will direct some positive mental energy towards you and your expedition. Eye-wink

Just trying to find out if your ride is happening at 0400?

Is this mean't to be 1400?

I'd be interested in coming along if it isn't the early one!!

I don't know how I managed to put in 0400, it was meant to be 0730.
