Back to Wingello on Sunday.
There is a few of us going down there, and the focus is to work on finding some speed through the singletrack sections. Not so much fireroad smashing this time.

We'll probably ride the red loop twice through, and be hitting a few sections really fast. Something like 4 or 5 x 5mins efforts through the singletrack.

Its still gonna be a swift ride overall. Happy for people to come along and work on polishing the skills a bit....
If you are worried about pace, flick me a pm.

Awesome - some riders to join me / us.

Just so you know, I'll be riding whatever the weather. Its always dry at Wingello - the track drains awesome.

Basically gonna see if Beauie and or MWCC races at WH as well.

If not then I will come to this. I should know about Beauie tonight or early tomorrow.

Nice ride. 7 of us in the end.

Steady pace, some efforts on the hills, and through the singletrack.
It was so nice to ride with some new guys.
Not even muddy - especially for Craig after he sprayed his bike with cooking oil!

Craig's soft! It was probably the weight of that cooking oil on the bike that caused him to ride the climbs on the second loop like he had his brakes on Smiling

I'm glad Anthony admitted there were some efforts on the hills. From a couple of hundred metres back and coughing up a lung it didn't look like he was trying.

The only incident was a sting to the leg in the first Single track that felt all too similar to a brown snake bite I had a while back. I dived off my bike into the scrub then when I realized there was nothing wrong tried to look cool as the guys passed me while I was trying to clip back in.

Bad luck for Jenny driving all the way to Wingello to find she had her road bike shoes in the car and did the U turn and drove back to Sydney.

Great day out with a good bunch. I look forward to the next ride.

Really enjoyed the riding today, can see why so many are signing up for the willow race.
