Manly ride

Hi all, wanting to go for a ride this weekend at Manly, have done manly dam twice but just the loop. Would like to check out the extended loop (possums etc?) but no idea where this is (other than across wakehurst parkway), and would like to take in gahnia and serrata as well. What would be the most logical way to do this, anyone done a similar ride and have it mapped on strava? Or if anyone wants to do a ride on Sunday or Monday this weekend then happy to be shown around!

cheers
Ben

There's a bit of an idea of possibilities in this post, if it makes any sense to you - http://nobmob.com/node/49880#comment-150550

There's a lot of options now. Depends if you want to include the full Dam loop, extended/outer loop, possums, Gahnia and Serrata, or just do parts of them. It's a fair amount of riding if you want to do them all in the one hit. At least for my unfit legs it is. Smiling

But after looking in Strava I found this.

That doesn't include any of Possum or the outer loop.

Check this out - https://www.strava.com/segments/explore?utm_sour...

The rest of the outer loop runs from the end of segment G, up besids the pipline and onto Allambie Rd. Then you cut back in at the end of Martin Luther Place, follow the trail to Allambie Oval Tennsi Courts and back onto the Dam trail at the start of the run in to the 19th Hole

Park at the Hydro Research Ctr.
Manly Dam up to Wakehurst parkway, cross over.
Across Bewildered Possum and up Kevin Costner,
Road down to and then up Penrose Pl,
drop down the rock chute to Currie Rd,
Seratta,
back up Currie rd to Daisy duke(?)and up, across to
Gannia,
turn left at the exit cross back over Wakehurst parkway and complete M.Dam!

Approx 23-24kms, try all the A lines except to the left of the tight right hander in Seratta and the A/B lines at the 19th hole, and try not to put a foot down*.

*Except for the rock chute at this stage. Still working on that one...
