A good reason to wear a helmet..
..and maybe to avoid the road!
It could be a bit graphic for some but better to know the risks than stick the head in the sand and pretend "it won't happen to me".

I think they all wear helmets, however a lot of road riders don't do up the straps, from coverage I have seen.
You can see helmets flying through the air.
i dont think when some thing like that happens you can rely on a helmet
i think its a case of hoping all the boxes were ticked
cars dont drive on trails
thank goodness
and before i get smashed
i always wear a helmet and promote the use of them

check out the 1 guy (right next to the rear left tyre of the car) who managed to pedal away in the right direction by the look of it unscathed (clearly not riding for team cannondale
actually there was a story recently of a truck running over a guys head and the helmet (a giro from memory) actually protected him and saved his life..
actually actually, having hitting up a few bmx tracks of late, im amazed at the huge amount of un-helmeted riders, its like the skate thing where its uncool to wear a helmet..we witnessed a kid take half his face off cause he face planted a landing when over shooting the transition, and was helmet free..tooth free as well..
