A solid paced training ride in preparation for the Stromlo 8hr next week.
I expect to be turning out 45-50 min laps for up to 5 hrs depending on the conditions.
It will be a consistent pace, no intentional stopping, apart from food/water top-ups every couple of laps.
I'm happy for anyone to join in/drop off for laps as suits, will be coming past the car park every 45-50 min or so (unless we have a mechanical or other unforeseen event). A good level of fitness and bike handling skill required.
Maintenance on Dam is finished (This morning), so the full loop is open.

am i game enough to say i will meet you but i may be riding round there on Sunday so will you wave as you shout TRACK on your way past?!! Haven't seen you for ages...
You'll easily do a lap or 2 within those times...
Would love to have joined you W, but I have to 'socialise' with non-riding folk...
What's the status of the Dam right now? Wasn't someone saying that the fun section down to the lab is still closed and you have to take the road? That would seriously suck.
Perhaps you should check with the rangers W?

I did a quick lap last Sunday and had to go on the road - looks like its a mid-long term track closure

The Manly waringah website still has it listed as closed around Southern Cross drive,
BUT, I just spoke to the ranger at thew Dam, and the maintenance was finished today. It's open all the way down to the lab.
They have been understaffed lately, but will be starting up trail maintenance days again sometime before the heat of summer.
