I'm assuming the Lap Dancers will be performing at this one?

Can't make the 24hr races so I think I will start my DW100 training with a solo entry here.

I've only ridden Yarramundi once (2 years ago) so I'm going to take it easy and look at it like an 8 hour opportunity to ride my bike.

I've come down with the flu this weekend, and not feeling like I'll be up to speed for next weekend.
Groover and Steve: You may need to call on Dylan again for the Dancers.

Guys, let me redeem myself for my last abysmal effort, I'm here if you need me Smiling

i read on farkin that its a 10km loop. No mention of climbing per lap or anything like that though, but 10km sounds like the usual loop they do.

I guess I'll take the tarp again, I'll try for the same spot as last year or nearby, there'll be room for the whole MoB.

I've put my name down as I want to ride this event but not in a team of any sort yet. I see it's free for a woman's team if any others a keen for a blast. Nothing serious of course just a social day out. Smiling
Otherwise I'll just wander around solo for as many laps as I feel like.

unless blondie fancies doing pairs?????? most unlikely. she has a social calender busier than the queen of england! Eye-wink

Eyeball's picture

I have a friend who's usual pairs teammate is on a bucks weekend this week. He maybe looking for someone. PM me and let me know if you are interested.

usual spot? I have done the Yellowmundee round a couple of times but, not with 'The Mob'. Deb, Tom and I will be riding in the threes in team 'You, Me and Tom'. Very creative, eh!
See you there.

i'm sure it was you last year that was directly across the track from all of us. After transition about half way along the row of tents before last one and wilderness(if that makes any sense?) look out for a tarp the size of telstra stadium!

Under the 'Big Tarp'.
Sound about where we were. Thanks GAZZA.

Hey guys, Is the a chance that someone might have space to give V and myself a Ride to the race? PM me please and we will organise a meeting place etc. Cheers guys.

kiwigirl's picture

I have sent a PM Andrew and would be keen if we can organise this.

Last year we had a great spot which was about 40m to the right down the track from the transition/timing area, I may be struggling to get the same spot this year but I may go real early or peg the tarp out on Sat. night. If you can't find us call me, my Mob.no. is on my profile.

lift has fallen through at last minute. doh.
I'm thinking i can find over night accommodation somewhere close and get picked up from there early in the morning? Richmond seems to be all booked out but perhaps i could stay further back on the same line and train to richmond early and get pick up from there? or blue mountains somewhere if that works for whoever?
i hope someone sees this! help. i have a mate coming to pick me up after the race so getting home is no worries. just cant find a way there as yet. my number is on my profile so if you have ideas or can help in any way i will be a very happy man.
p.s. i live in kings cross so if anyone travelling from this area or northern beaches etc i can find my way to you! thank you, Darren.

leximack's picture

The Yarramundi track for the 2nd round of the WWS was just AMAZING !!! It was technical and fast it was just pure MTB goodness !! I really enjoy racing yesterday even if I had the feeling racing a ghost ....I couldn't see the girl in front of me and everybody ware saying that she was not far.... THANKS everybody again for your help during the race and well done to the people that spent time and effort to build this great track !!!

leximack's picture

Thanks for the day yesterday guys and girls, was good to meet some new faces and catchup with people i havent seen for a while.
Thanks espcially to Rob and Michael for a fun race. We raced semi-seriously, not really checking our position till the very end. We put in some decent lap times. Michale is a rocket doing consistent 32min laps, well done, me and rob between 36 and 40mins per lap. We ended up in 8th out of 23 teams with 14 laps, and only about 20mins behind the lap dancers, pretty good effort i thought.
Now looking forward to another weekend away at the mont with the NOBMOB crew.

See you then

Don
