Track closure

Whilst running part of the Manly Dam track between Water Reserve Rd, North Balgowlah and Manly Vale PS, tonight.
There is now fencing completely blocking both foot and bike traffic.
This has effectively closed the Manly Dam MTB loop?
Can someone shed light on this closure?

Gahnia TrailCare Volunteer Day - Sunday 8/10/17

Local riders needed!

Please register using this link

Our local Gahnia track is in much need of some attention and love. We need a handful of volunteers willing to move some rock and materials that have already been dropped into place along the track.

Due to the nature of this specific work we only need about 20 volunteers, and those who come should expect a fair amount of heavy lifting. A post dig BBQ and drinks will be provided to all volunteers who come help.

What to bring:

Thought possums were protected in Australia

I saw a hi-viz crew measuring up on the west side of Wakehurst parkway near the entrance to the Possum. I'm hoping they aren't planning to widen the road as per the works closer to Warringah road.

I fear the Possum is on borrowed time. Sad

Bantry Bay maintenance

Big thanks to everyone today who helped kick off the first volunteer maintenance day at Bantry Bay with NPWS!

Today was all about training volunteer team leaders so they are accredited to run maintenance on our NPWS trails.

Belrose Bike Park needing submissions of support

The boys on the beaches have been working hard to come up with a workable solution for the old tip site in Belrose. They are pretty close but need some support by way of submissions. Please jump onto their Facebook page where you can read what to do and how to help. But the key is to make comment for the DA currently up for review."

Support required!!!

Submissions are open for Belrose Bike Park's modified DA.

We're proud to formally introduce Belrose Bike Park.
Following challenges encountered during the Bare Creek project, community representatives have assisted the relevant authorities in re-working the bike park design. The result is something smaller and more manageable, but with potential to provide a far superior riding experience.
