I'm a former employee of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and I just want to draw a few comparisons from my experiences at Council meetings.

Bare Creek Bike Park

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

You may be aware of the proposal to build a multi-use MTB park at Belrose. With the landfill at the tip closing in November 2014 it is now time to gain momentum for this project. Bare Creek Bike Park would combine XC, DH, AM, Flow, Jump, Pump and CX as well as areas for skills and junior riders
Please see the attached proposal developed by Seuter Planners with the help of IMBA Australia; http://www.wamc.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_fil...

Bantry Bay trail construction starts.

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Good news! NPWS's Bantry Bay mtb trail construction is underway at last. Phase 1 is the single track off the Curry Rd fire trail. The more technical leg on the eastern side will be phase 2.

Some trails have been closed, such as the link to the Forestville Park rugby fields that run over the rock with the aboriginal carvings. Please respect these closures as failure to do so will jeopardize negotiations for future trails, as has already happened with Oxford Falls trails on Aboriginal Land Council land.

Bantry Bay progress?

Hi NobMob'ers,

Does anyone have an update on the Bantry Bay trails? I've seen some building materials at the top of the natural bridge track and there's a new "Trail Closed" at the exit point near the bottom of the Currie Road fire trail.

So something's going on just can't find any info on start / end dates for construction.

Thanks

Moon Rock - Another Reminder

Moon Rock.....

OK, so this still continues, but hopefully for not much longer. Having just posted on the Strava rides, I'm posting here too as there were a few names that I recognised as being in here too.

There's not really any excuse these days to claim that you "didn't know it was closed", especially when I would guess that just about everyone here frequents Rotorburn, is in a FB group that has discussed it and has most likely been informed on the trail!

So, anyways (slightly edited for this page):

Manly dam trail maintenance

I've got a few free hours next Tuesday to get out on the circuit and do a bit of maintenance to make up for my wet run I did a week or so ago.

Of course I won't do anything without approval from you trail fairies out there.

Feel free to tell me what needs done and where. I was going to try smooth out the tyre ruts, replace some of the lost dirt washed out by the rain and drain out some puddles??

MV Road Sniggle / Trail Care

Hawkeye and other trail care guys

As you have seen for yourself the singletrack that is there and being added to just off monavale rd is fantastic.

Some easier areas for the kids, plus some more technical stuff for those who are interested.

Given its location, proximity to st ives showground, and in basically a piece of land that was otherwise dissused, but a great terrain for building sniggle, this offers a prime area to continue to develop a nice little trail network.

How is this land managed ? Is there anything stopping further development of these trails ? i think a couple
