That was the one line from the rider briefing that kept going over and over and over in my head the whole way round... and it was true.

Registration
Was spun out and amazed I was allocated the same race number as my only other 100 (Dirtworks). I thought this was a good sign of things to come.

One down...

First ever 100km event.

Had no expectation. Was hoping to get under 7hrs. Happy with smashing this into a respectable 06:35

Will add my race report later.

In a word this ride turned out to be everything I hoped for, EPIC!

We took it steady, with plenty of breaks to take onboard extra water and food. So it took close to 9hrs to complete. Stopping all stations at: Helipad, Woodford Gate (food), Creek Crossing, Ingar End (food), 2nd Creek Crossing, Woodford Gate (food), Helipad.

I finally banished my 70km demon as I went on to add an extra 106km on the clock. So now I know I can go the distance. I'm a very tired but happy chap this evening.

Hard work today. In many ways the wetter conditions made the ride more tiring than last time.

Took longer than expected but it ended up being a good run all the same. Got a bit lost around the Wild Flower Garden. (That bike path all looked the same to me). And part of the trail of the original GPX track (The bit just after the WFG) has now been fenced-off so had to find an alternative route along Mona Vale Road. We picked up a nice peice of sniggle from the Pistol Club to the top of the trail head going towards Duffy's. Came back via Terrey Hills shops to pick up some more water when fatigue kicked in. So we blasted down the road back to the cars in Belrose.

We had a pretty eventful day. The weather was changing from rain to shine with every lap. Nige broke his chain out on the trail which knocked our time back a bit and to top that he also won the Tomato Sauce Award. Nige slammed into a boulder on his fith and final lap and ended up gashing his arm pretty bad. 10 stitches req. Hardcore!

Surprisingly the track got better after the rain and was in excellent condition. Loved every minute of it and am still grinning from ear to ear.

With all that we still did really well placing 11th out of 42 teams in our category.
